This simulation simultaneously depicts motion around a black hole and its path in Kruskal coordinates. Red lines represent the event horizon, and the blue curve shows the orbit. Just below, I've built an accessibility tool that can be used via a keyboard only. This tool can fully control the animating figures, which are below the accessibility tool. First, tab to the "Start Exploring" button and hit enter; then, use the accessibility tool to animate the figures.
Use arrow keys to adjust values, then press Update.
This simulation depicts spacetime around a black hole. The tool at the top can be used to control the animation via the keyboard only. The red lines mark the event horizon, beyond which nothing can escape.
The blue curve shows the motion of an orbiting object. As time progresses, the object moves along this trajectory.
Changing the radius alters how far the object orbits from the black hole. Smaller radii bring the object closer to the event horizon.
